INTERESTED IN BEING A REFEREE? HERE'S HOW:
To become a certified referee for the Town of Mahwah, you will need to take a class that runs for 4 nights during a week, with a test culminating on the fifth day, Friday. You must score 75 or better to pass. To referee in Divisions 2, 3 and 4 you must have a license. You must be over 21 for Division 2. Classes are run from June to early September at various town locations.
All referees will receive a shirt, whistle, and stopwatch as well as a kit for issuing yellow and red cards. All equipment must be returned to the Recreation Soccer Equipment Manager at the end of the season.
